Recipe: Watermelon Lime Refresher

Watermelon just SCREAMS summer! This drink is super easy, leaves plenty of room to modify to your taste, AND is nutritious on top of refreshing! This is the perfect drink for those hot summer days when you need that little extra flavor punch that water doesn’t give you, and is also really easy on the stomach when the heat gets to you.

Ingredients:

2 Cups fresh cold watermelon chunks

1 Drop Lime essential oil

Sparkling water

Optional: fresh mint leaves

Directions:

  1. Mix the watermelon and lime oil in a blender until smooth.*
  2. Fill a glass halfway with the juice and top with the sparkling water.**
  3. Add a slice of lime or some fresh mint leaves for an even more refreshing taste!

Notes:
*You don’t want the lime oil to overpower the watermelon flavor, so add it in one drop at a time until you match the flavors to your taste. You can also add a little honey if you want a sweeter taste.
**To make this drink really cold and refreshing, place it in the fridge or freezer after blending, before adding the sparkling water. Just don’t forget about it if you place it in the freezer. 😉
