Fall Essential Oil Diffuser Blends

Fall has arrived! Hopefully there will be some nice cool weather days in our near future.

Whether we end up with a cool fall or not it’s always fun to get your home smelling like fall. But instead of heading to the store to buy a fall scented candle, which contain so many toxins for your body, try some oils in your diffuser this season. . .and kill two birds with one stone. Have your house or room smell like fall, and keep toxins out of your home, while at the same time giving you a bit of relaxation on some of your hard study nights.

These are some of my favorite blends to put in my diffuser during this season:

  • Thieves – Its spicy scent brings a warm fall feeling, while also helping to support your immune system.
  • StressAway – This is one of my favorites when I am under a lot of pressure or stress. Its vanilla and Cedarwood scent smells like a fresh fall day.
  • Lemon and Peppermint – Can support the immune system and help you relax while also (for most people) keeping your brain awake and focused for studying.
  • Forest – This may not be what everyone thinks of fall, but equal amounts of Evergreen, Pine, Cypress and Cedarwood can have a calming aroma make you feel like you are in a forest. And who doesn’t like trees and forests in the fall?
  • Cinnamon and Clove – Can help support the immune system, clean the air and get you in the mood for baking some pretty delicious fall desserts.
  • Lemon, Clove and Cinnamon – A bit spicy and a bit citrusy. This combination not only makes it smell like fall (and perhaps gets you craving for some apple pie), it can also help to support the immune system. Try 3 drops of Lemon, 2 drops of Cinnamon and 1 drop of Clove.
  • Cinnamon and Orange – A little spice and a little citrus make a great combination! I always associated orange with fall, and putting about 5 drops of Orange and 3 drops of Cinnamon in the diffuser is one of my favorite homemade fall blends!

Now, I love experimenting and testing out different oils and amounts to get the perfect scent I’m looking for at the time. Everyone has different tastes and ideas about what smells like fall. Have fun! Take your oils and play around with some of them. . .and share your findings with me in the comments.

I hope some of these blend recipes will help give you a good start and get your brain working!
